Aon, a global professional services company that provides advice and solutions across risk, capital and human capital, has appointed Brad Lorimer as CEO of its Canadian business, taking up the position on 1 September 2026.

Lorimer will be responsible for Aon’s operations across the country, with a focus on helping clients respond to business challenges through the company’s Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities, data-led insights and advisory solutions.

As part of the appointment, Lorimer will continue as a member of Aon’s Canadian Executive Committee and will join the North America Executive Committee. He will report to Anne Corona, Aon’s CEO of North America.

Lorimer’s appointment comes as the company continues to develop its presence in Canada and strengthen collaboration across its North American operations. In his new position, he will work with teams across the region to provide clients with integrated support as they manage risks and people-related issues that are increasingly linked.

“Brad is an exceptional leader who has consistently demonstrated the ability to bring teams together, build strong client relationships and create momentum across the business,” commented Corona. “His deep understanding of our business and the Canadian market, combined with his commitment to clients and talent for building high-performing teams, make him well-suited to lead the continued advancement of our Aon United strategy across Canada and North America.”

Lorimer has more than 25 years of experience across brokerage, underwriting and client services, including two decades with Aon. He most recently served as East and Central Region Leader, where he oversaw Aon’s Human Capital and Risk Capital operations across eastern and central Canada.

Previously, Lorimer was Aon’s Health and Financial Institutions Leader for Canada and National Director of the company’s Financial Services Group in Canada. He will continue in his role as East and Central Regions Leader until a successor is appointed, with Aon saying this will support continuity for employees, clients and the business during the transition.

“Canada is an incredibly important market for Aon and I am honoured to take on this role,” added Lorimer. “Our clients are navigating a rapidly changing environment shaped by increasingly interconnected risk and people challenges. I look forward to working alongside our talented colleagues across Canada and North America to help clients make better decisions, strengthen resilience and unlock new opportunities for growth.”

Aon also thanked Paul Croft for his leadership during the interim period. Following the transition, Croft will continue as Chief Operating Officer of Canada at Aon and as a member of the Canadian Executive Committee.
