Adam Bass has been appointed Head of Marine & Aviation Treaty at Hiscox, an international specialist insurer, succeeding market veteran Guy Ellis, who is to retire later this year.

Bass is taking over the leadership position from Ellis, an experienced Marine X/L underwriter with an established reputation across the industry.

Ellis’ retirement marks the end of an impactful 28-year tenure at Hiscox, during which the specialty reinsurance market.
