Specialist re/insurance broker Miller has completed the previously announced acquisition of Shields Reinsurance Brokers Limited (Shields), an independent reinsurance broker based in Dubai, following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
Shields was founded in 2017 and has a strong reputation in Facultative and Treaty reinsurance across specialty classes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and beyond.
The capabilities of both brokers will be brought together under one unified brand, Shields Miller, which will be a part of the Miller Group.
The transaction aligns with Miller’s expanding re/insurance strategy and growing multinational presence, following the acquisition of AHJ Holdings Ltd in 2025.
James Hands, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Miller, commented, “We are pleased to have completed the acquisition of Shields, marking an important step in strengthening Miller’s presence across the MENA region.
