Nirvana, a specialty Managing General Agent (MGA) operating across specialist insurance markets, has appointed Kevin Kettrick as its new Cyber Lead London as the company continues to broaden its Cyber proposition.
Kettrick joins Nirvana with more than 25 years of experience in the London insurance market. He has spent 15 years underwriting Cyber risks for SME and mid-market clients, having previously co-founded Ptarmigan Underwriting Ltd before its acquisition by Gallagher in 2022. More recently, Kettrick founded Clovasure, a specialist Cyber MGA.
Nirvana said the appointment supports the continued development of its product offering and follows a series of strategic moves by the business.
These include its merger with UK-based Pulse Insurance Limited and the acquisition of Arena NV in 2025. In July 2026, Nirvana also agreed to acquire Ryan C&S, the Swedish public sector division of Ryan Nordics.
Kettrick added: “I’m delighted to be joining such a growing and dynamic operation as Nirvana, who have rightfully earned a stellar reputation in the Media Liability field as well as a long-established mid-market presence for combined Technology and Cyber.
“I look forward to bolstering Nirvana’s current stand-alone Cyber offering in the marketplace, working with brokers/agents new and old, and playing a key role in Nirvana’s ambitious global growth strategy going forward.”
Rob Jones, Chairman and Head of Media, Technology and Cyber at Nirvana, commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Kevin and adding his experience, expertise and relationships to the group.
“This exciting expansion is a natural evolution given our mature and established Media, Technology and Cyber Portfolio, and makes us even more relevant with our fantastic London and international partners.”
Nirvana said Kettrick will initially concentrate on Excess Cyber business. The MGA plans to subsequently introduce a primary Cyber product later in 2026.
